#GLAMRmatch 2025: What You Are Looking For Is In GLAMR.

On Tuesday, 26th November we opened up our Expressions Of Interest to JotForm to join #GLAMRmatch 2025.

In 2-weeks and 1 day our #GLAMRmatch Protégé spots filled. Our #GLAMRmatch Leader fillled up on the 18th of December.

What is new for #GLAMRmatch 2025?

  • We have replaced our Mentor and Mentee titles with Leader and Protege.
  • Non-Members of ALIA pay $22 to join
  • ALIA Members Professional (Associate/Graduate, Library Technician) or General (Student) can join #GLAMRmatch 2025 for FREE.

Non -ALIA Member LIS Student from the ALIA Accredited Course list, Non-ALIA Member LIS Graduate, Established Professional or Changing Sector Professional.

#GLAMRmatch is ALIA SNGG’s annual event designed to connect Students and Graduates to Established Professionals from the GLAMR (Gallery, Library, Archives, Museum & Records Management) Sector over a 1-hour one-on-one physical or online meeting.

ALIA Members, aplications for ALIA Resume Review Service will be closing over the holiday break. We will be accepting Resume Review requests in January from Monday, 6th January 2025.

Are you interested in learning Cataloguing skills?

ALIA Training for ‘Cataloguing for Practitioners‘ is open. This is an online 6 week course provided by TAFE NSW, RTO 90003.  After completing the course, you will receive an official academic transcript from TAFE NSW, RTO 90003, showing you have met the unit’s requirements (BSBINS516 – Undertake cataloguing activities).

Learn to identify and apply the national and international standards for constructing a catalogue record using RDA, ISBD and MARC.

Cost : $550 (Members) – $730 (Non-members)

Monday, 14 April 2025

Learn:

  • How to create a catalogue record
  • Knowledge to identify the types of information needed to create a catalogue record.
  • About cataloguing standards for Resource Description and Access (RDA), International Standard Bibliographic Description (ISBD), and MARC (machine-readable cataloguing) format of bibliographic data.

ALIA Training for Cataloguing for beginners is a 4-week online course provided by TAFE NSW.

Monday, 25 August 2025

Cost:

$460 (Members) – $610 (Non-members)

Join Tropic ALIA for their ‘Nightmare Before Bookmas’ event at Canto Kitchen & Bar at James Cook University, Townsville Campus.
