ALIA VIC + ALIA SNGG Library Speed Dating Event

An open book with heart pages. People connecting over food and discussion.

ALIA SNGG are joining ALIA VIC for a Library Speed Dating event.

Graduates and Students have the chance to sit and ask questions in a three minutes chat with experienced librarians and GLAMRous people from across the library sector.

The event will operate like speed dating with the participants rotating around the professionals, getting to spend 3 minutes with each of them. There will also be informal networking with ALIAVic and ALIA SNGG committee members and afternoon tea as you await your turn. Spaces are limited so make sure to book soon.

Nominate yourself or a fellow Victorian library and information profession, or professional research in Victoria, who is an ALIA Member, who has made a significant contribution and positive impact to the Library and Information Service.

Nominations are open May 5th.

Nominations for the F.A. Sharr Award  open on 28th April.

To be eligible for the award nominees must be:

  • Currently living in Western Australia
  • Graduated from an ALIA accredited course in the last four years. The 2024 award is open to those who graduated on or after 1 January 2021.
  • Personal Member of ALIA

Self nomination and Nomination by a colleage available.
