Right now in states all over Australia committees and teams are working hard organising an eclectic program and experience for students and graduates who will be attending the 6thNew Librarians Symposium on the 9-11 February.
The New Librarians Symposiums is a professional development event for students and New Graduates, not just librarians but for information professionals. The theme is Think different. Be different.
NLS will provide a rich and diverse professional development and leadership program with new and experienced conference speakers, a chance to network and connect with a plethora of students, new graduates, teachers, new graduate coordinators and people like you who want to connect and learn all in a comfortable and easy going environment. You can find more information about the NLS6 committees, Facebook, Website and Twitter.
The Symposium is run as part of the ALIA New Graduates Group. The NGG is a forum for new graduates to communicate and build relationships with networks within the profession. The best ways to communicate and be involved in the discussion of issues relevant to your profession is to subscribe to the new graduates elist and receive information as it comes. Another way is to get into contact with your regional new graduate coordinators who organise professional development training and social gatherings to meet and network in a comfortable setting. Social media via Facebook and Twitter on @aliaNEWGRADS
It is not too far off now, so if you are or know someone who might be interested in attending this Symposium…register now!
